Meldin 7001 unfilled polyimide plastic
Meldin is the name of a series of high-performance plastics with excellent wear resistance, high temperature resistance and other excellent properties, which can replace metals, ceramics, or ordinary plastics in many applications, thereby greatly improving part life.
Meldin materials include Meldin1000 series, Meldin2000 series, Meldin3100 series, Meldin500 series, Meldin 7000 series, Meldin 8000 series and Meldin 9000 series.
Meldin series materials are widely used in the manufacture of bushings, washers, sliding vanes, piston rings, etc.
Meldin 7000 series has the best performance, especially the high temperature resistance and wear resistance. The main models are:
Meldin 7001, no filling type, product with high insulation and heat insulation;
Meldin 7021, 15% graphite reinforced type, the product has outstanding wear resistance;
Meldin 7022, 40% graphite reinforced, the product has high dimensional stability;
Meldin 7021, containing 15% graphite, 10% PTFE, low friction coefficient, suitable for high-speed motion applications;
Meldin 7003, containing 15% molybdenum disulfide, the product has self-lubricating properties.
Key Features of Meldin® Series Materials:
1.Dimensional Stability at High Temperatures Meldin® series materials have extremely high dimensional stability at high temperatures. Testing has shown that Meldin® series materials change less than 0.04% from their original dimensions after a 2-day cycle from 73°F (22.77°C) to 500°F (260°C). The material withstands thermal shock well and enhances the dimensional stability of the material. One special grade, Meldin® 7022, has a very low coefficient of thermal expansion, which allows it to behave like aluminum.
2.Meldin® series materials have excellent machinability. Unlike ceramic materials, the Meldin® family of materials has very good machinability, which makes them more cost-effective in manufacturing finished parts.
3.Will maintain longer service life at higher loads and speeds Compared to more traditional PTFE or thermoplastic polymers, several self-lubricating products of the Meldin® family of materials are available even for high loads (P) or It also does not melt when applied at high speed (V). The P x V limits for Meldin® series self-lubricating products exceed 300,000 psi•ft/min (10.5 W/mm²) in dry environments and 1,000,000 psi•ft/min (35.0 W/mm²) in liquid or grease lubricated environments ).
