Product Feature

CUC1 copper, also known as oxygen-free high-conductivity (OFHC) copper, is a type of copper with the following characteristics:

1. High Electrical Conductivity:

The electrical conductivity of CUC1 copper is very high, with a minimum conductivity of 100% IACS (International Annealed Copper Standard).

2. Good Thermal Conductivity:

The thermal conductivity of CUC1 copper is also very high, with a thermal conductivity value of 390 W/mK (Watts per meter Kelvin).

3. Low Oxygen Content:

CUC1 copper has an extremely low oxygen content, less than 10 ppm (parts per million).

4. High Corrosion Resistance:

Due to its low oxygen content, CUC1 copper is highly resistant to corrosion, making it ideal for use in harsh environments.

5. Malleability:

CUC1 copper is a very malleable material, allowing it to be easily shaped and formed into various products.

Despite its many advantages, CUC1 copper also has some limitations, such as:

1. Expensive:

CUC1 copper is more expensive than other types of copper due to its high purity and specialized production process.

2. Not Appropriate for Welding:

CUC1 copper is not recommended for welding due to its low oxygen content, which can result in weld defects.

3. Prone to Pitting Corrosion:

Although CUC1 copper is highly resistant to most types of corrosion, it can become susceptible to pitting corrosion in certain environments.
