FDM is melt deposition molding technology. This technology does not rely on lasers as a molding energy. It mainly uses the hot melt and adhesive properties of thermoplastic materials. Under the control of computer software programs, filaments are extruded through the print head for layer-by-layer accumulation. forming. FDM is the simplest and most common 3D printing technology, usually applied to desktop 3D printing equipment. In 1988, it was invented by Kurt Krumpu, the founder of Stratasys Printing Company, and in 1992, Stratasys sold the first 3D printing product based on fused deposition modeling technology.

PolyJet is a polymer jet technology. The principle of this technology is similar to that of traditional two-dimensional inkjet printing. The photo-curable resin is sprayed through an array of nozzles. After the spraying is completed, it is cured and formed by ultraviolet light irradiation. Simultaneous printing of multiple materials and multi-color materials.

SLA is a photo-curing molding technology. This technology relies on the polymerization reaction of liquid photosensitive resin irradiated by ultraviolet light to solidify layer by layer and generate a three-dimensional entity. SLA is the earliest commercialized 3D printing technology, and the dimensional accuracy of the prepared workpiece is also very high.

SLM is the selective laser melting molding technology. This technology can directly obtain parts with any shape and complete metallurgical bonding by rapidly melting the preset metal powder by using a fine focused spot. more than 99%. This is also the most common technology in metal 3D printing.
