Today we completed an order from a Swiss customer for a CNC part made of SKD11 material. Its size is tiny, so it requires high precision, fortunately, we have completed it.
In order to capture its smooth surface, we had to use various devices for lighting.

Processing:
honing processing on inside hole
Honing is a metalworking process used to improve the surface finish of a cylindrical bore or tube. This process involves the use of honing stones or abrasive tools to remove small amounts of material from the inside surface of the hole, thus producing a smoother and more precise surface finish. Honing is typically used to improve the roundness, straightness, and cylindricity of cylindrical holes, as well as to remove burrs and surface irregularities. This process is commonly used in the manufacturing of engine cylinders, hydraulic systems, and other precision components. Honing is a complex process that requires specialized equipment and expertise, and is crucial for ensuring high-quality and reliable products.
heat treatment
Heat treatment is a process where a material is heated and cooled under controlled conditions to achieve desired physical properties. The goal is to alter the microstructure of the material to improve its toughness, hardness, or strength. This process is commonly used in manufacturing to improve the properties of metals, alloys, and polymers. There are several methods of heat treatment including annealing, quenching, tempering, and normalizing. Annealing involves heating the material to soften it and improve its ductility. Quenching involves cooling the material rapidly to increase its hardness. Tempering involves heating the material to reduce its brittleness and increase its toughness. And normalizing involves heating the material to improve its mechanical properties and refine its grain structure. Heat treatment is an essential process in the production of high-quality materials for construction, automotive, and aerospace industries.
