Powder Coating On Carbon Steel Material
Many customers would like to apply powder coating on their metal parts. But the thickness for the powder coating is very thick than other suface treatment, usually between 60 and 80 microns (~2-3 mils). So if you want to have a precision dimension after done powder coating, need to control the thickness of powder coating very well. And powder coating usually apply on steel alloys, stainless steel, mild steel, aluminum etc metal material. Plastic cannot do powder coating.
Powder coating have two main surface look. One is smooth and shiny surface, another is textured matte surface look like sandblasting. For the smooth and shiny surface, usually do white and black color. Below is the part done white shiny smooth powder coating, but the suface easily appear defect like spot point.
Another textured matt powder coating surface, can cover much machining trace on the machining part. It's effect will look like sandblating. But it can provide a much better suface apperance than shiny smooth powder coating surface.
Except white and black color, also have other color choice. But if the powder is not common, that will increase the cost.
