Welding
There are four main types of welding. MIG – Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW), TIG – Gas Tungsten Arc Welding (GTAW), Stick – Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and Flux-cored – Flux-cored Arc Welding (FCAW).
Shielded Metal Arc Welding (Stick) is the most popular welding process. It is the most versatile and uses the simplest equipment.
In cnc machining process, many customer most usually adopt laser welding and TIG welding (Tungsten Inert Gas Welding).
Laser welding:
Laser welding is a process used to join together metals or thermoplastics using a laser beam to form a weld. Being such a concentrated heat source, in thin materials laser welding can be carried out at high welding speeds of metres per minute, and in thicker materials can produce narrow, deep welds between square-edged parts.
Laser welding' s welding point is small, so it can achieve a better products' surface treatment. But it cannot achieve a better air tightness.

Below enclosure, laser cut and bend the part first, then use laser welding to weld the gap together by laser welding. After laser welding, need to grind the welding point, finally do the anodizing. Then the part will look nice.
TIG welding
TIG welding can achive a good air tightness for parts. It is often considered the strongest weld since it produces extreme heat, and the slow cooling rate results in high tensile strength and ductility. MIG is also an excellent candidate for the strongest type of weld because it can create a strong joint. The most important applications for TIG welding are pipeline and pipe welding. It is, however, used in many industries, such as aviation and aerospace and sheet metal industries when welding particularly thin materials and special materials such as titanium. But its' welding point is large that cannot make a good-looking surface. But the welding point can use grinding to remove.
