Product Description

Stainless Steel Turned Shaft Parts are commonly used in various industries, including aerospace, automotive, medical, and military sectors. These parts are required in critical applications that demand high precision and accuracy. They come in various sizes and shapes, including round, square, and hexagonal. They are also available in different lengths, depending on the requirements of the application.

One of the main advantages is their excellent resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel is an alloy that contains chromium, which gives it the ability to resist rust and corrosion. This makes it an ideal material for use in harsh environments where other metals would quickly deteriorate.

Another great benefit is their ability to withstand high temperatures. Stainless steel can handle temperatures up to 1700°F, making it a good choice for applications that involve extreme heat. This makes them suitable for use in high-temperature industries such as chemical processing, oil and gas, and power generation.

They also offer superior mechanical properties compared to other types of steel. They have excellent strength, toughness, and hardness, making them suitable for applications that require high load-bearing capacity. They are also resistant to wear, making them ideal for use in industries that involve high friction.

Product Feature

1. Austenitic stainless steel: This type of stainless steel is the most commonly used grade, accounting for approximately 70% of stainless steel production. Austenitic stainless steel has excellent corrosion resistance and is non-magnetic. It is also highly formable and weldable. Some common austenitic stainless steel grades include 304, 316, and 317.

2. Ferritic stainless steel: This type of stainless steel has a lower corrosion resistance compared to austenitic stainless steel but has a higher resistance to stress corrosion cracking. Ferritic stainless steel is also magnetic and has excellent formability. Some common ferritic stainless steel grades include 409, 430, and 434.

3. Martensitic stainless steel: This type of stainless steel is low-carbon steel with a high amount of chromium content. It has excellent hardness and wear resistance but has lower corrosion resistance compared to austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. Martensitic stainless steel is commonly used in applications that require high strength and toughness, such as cutlery and surgical instruments. Some common martensitic stainless steel grades include 410, 416, and 420.

4. Duplex stainless steel: This type of stainless steel has a two-phase microstructure consisting of austenitic and ferritic stainless steel. Duplex stainless steel offers a combination of high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, making it ideal for applications that require both properties. Duplex stainless steel is commonly used in chemical and petrochemical industries, as well as in marine applications. Some common duplex stainless steel grades include 2205, 2304, and 2507.

5. Precipitation hardening stainless steel: This type of stainless steel has a high amount of chromium and nickel, and also contains other elements such as copper and aluminum. Precipitation-hardening stainless steel can be heat treated to achieve high strength and excellent corrosion resistance, making it suitable for applications that require both properties. Precipitation hardening stainless steel is commonly used in aerospace and nuclear industries. Some common precipitation-hardening stainless steel grades include 17-4PH, 15-5PH, and 13-8M0.

Application

1. Construction Industry

In the construction industry, stainless steel turned shaft parts are used in the production of structural frames, reinforcing bars, and beams. Stainless steel shafts offer excellent resistance to harsh weather conditions, corrosion, and fire, making them a preferred choice for building skyscrapers, bridges, and other structures.

2. Food Processing Industry

The food processing industry relies heavily on stainless steel shaft parts due to their hygienic and anti-corrosive properties. Stainless steel shafts are used in food processing equipment such as mixing machines, conveyor belts, and slicing machines. They do not react with food substances, ensuring that the food remains healthy and safe to consume.

3. Marine Industry

The marine industry requires parts that can withstand harsh saltwater conditions. They are used to produce marine propellers, fishing rods, and boat fittings. They are resistant to corrosion caused by saltwater, ensuring that the parts have a longer lifespan and improved performance.

4. Power Generation Industry

The power generation industry relies on stainless steel shafts due to their high-temperature resistance and durability. They are used in the production of turbine blades, pumps, and generators. The parts can withstand high pressures, temperatures, and corrosive environments, making them ideal for power generation equipment.

5. Oil and Gas Industry

In the oil and gas industry, stainless steel turned shaft parts are used to produce valves, pipes, and pumps. The parts are designed to operate in corrosive environments and can withstand high pressures and temperatures. The shafts are also resistant to stress cracking, which is a common issue in the oil and gas industry.
