Knurling patterns:
There are many kinds of knurling patterns, roughly three kinds: straight, twill, and net. Among them, there are rhombus and square patterns, that is, 30° and 45°. According to my country's national standard GB6403.3-86, the knurled pattern is calculated by modulus, and there are four kinds: 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5. The P value (the distance of pattern teeth, unit mm) is 0.2=0.628, 0.3= 0.942, 0.4=1.257, 0.5=0.571. Usually there are metric and inch patterns. The P value of the inch system is calculated according to the number of teeth per inch; 1.6 etc.
